If you want your jet packs, read on… One of the best, and certainly the shortest, argument I’ve heard for a space program. The main spillover from a space program is not technology; it’s a wealth of engineers and scientists who wanted to design ships for space travel at 6, studied mechanical engineering at 18, and design highly efficient washing machines at 25. Rocket ships and ray guns beget efficient washing machines. That is the true value of a space program. |
